Easiseal pro primer – bondit

The Bond It EasiSeal primer is the preparatory coat designed specifically for use with EasiSeal Pro Waterproofing Compound. If you’re applying EasiSeal Pro to concrete, mortar, brick, or similar substrates, this primer goes on first — it consolidates the surface, reduces porosity and gives the waterproofing compound something solid to key into. Skip this step and you’re gambling with the finished result, particularly on thirsty or weathered surfaces.

Primers like this one often get overlooked on site. There’s always the temptation to go straight to the main coat and save a bit of time. But on a tanking job or a flat roof repair, a failed bond isn’t a five-minute fix — it’s a full strip-back. The bond it easiseal primer exists to prevent exactly that situation.

Where Bond It EasiSeal Primer Fits in the Waterproofing System

This primer is part of a proper damp proofing and waterproofing system, not a standalone product. It prepares the substrate so the EasiSeal Pro compound can cure properly and form a continuous waterproof membrane. Typical applications include below-ground tanking, flat roof refurbishment, parapet walls, around pipe penetrations and anywhere water ingress is a persistent problem.

Applied surfaces need to be sound, clean and free of loose material before the primer goes on. On very porous concrete or old brickwork, a second primer coat is often worth the time — you’ll notice the first coat gets absorbed quickly, which tells you the surface needed it. Once the primer has fully cured and dried to a tacky or firm finish, the EasiSeal Pro compound can be applied over it with confidence.

It should not be substituted with a generic primer, as adhesion and warranty implications may differ.
