Fischer MS Express is a 1-part hybrid MS polymer adhesive designed for construction and assembly jobs where waiting around isn’t an option. It reaches hand-tight bond strength in approximately 20 minutes and achieves functional strength at around 30 minutes, making it one of the faster-curing options in its class. For a full-strength bond, the adhesive reaches up to 36 kg/cmu00b2 after approximately 24 hours, which is more than enough for most structural fixings, cladding, and panel work.

The formula is free of silicone, solvents, and isocyanates, and it produces no noticeable odour during application. That matters on occupied sites, in confined spaces, or anywhere ventilation is limited. The hybrid MS polymer base means it remains slightly flexible once cured, so it can absorb minor movement without cracking or losing its bond, unlike some rigid construction adhesives.

One practical advantage worth knowing: Fischer MS Express will bond to damp substrates. On site, that’s more realistic than you might think. Freshly cleaned masonry, slightly wet timber, or outdoor surfaces after a shower are all workable without waiting for everything to dry out completely.

Where Fischer MS Express Polymer Adhesive Gets Used

The application range is wide. Fischer MS Express is suited to bonding skirting boards, panels, cladding, insulation boards, tiles, and stone. It works on staircase components, wooden structures, cable ducting, and electrical installations. It also handles vehicle bonding and general repair and assembly work across most trades.

Because the adhesive bonds without drilling or nailing, it’s particularly useful in hard-to-reach locations or on materials that can’t be mechanically fixed without causing damage. Fixing to plasterboard, glazed tiles, glass, or enamel surfaces without leaving holes is a common reason tradespeople reach for this product.

Open Time and Positioning Window

You have approximately 5 minutes to adjust and position parts after applying Fischer MS Express before the bond begins to set. That’s a shorter working window than some grab adhesives, so preparation matters. Have everything measured and ready before you apply. Once the adhesive is hand-tight at 20 minutes, avoid disturbing the joint if you can help it. Temporary support or bracing during that initial cure window is good practice on heavier elements.

The adhesive processes between +5°C and +30°C, which covers most UK site conditions throughout the year. It remains stable across a cured temperature range of -30°C to +90°C, so it holds up in both cold external environments and areas with heat exposure such as under-floor heating installations or near pipe runs.

Compatible surfaces include concrete, masonry, brick, metals, timber and timber-based boards, hard PVC, plasterboard, gypsum fibreboard, plaster, glass, glazed surfaces, enamel, tiles, ceramics, and clinker. For most common construction substrates, Fischer MS Express will bond reliably without a primer.
