Flexible Hose Tap Connector 15mm x 15mm 300mm
£0.99£1.19 EX VATINC VAT
A 300mm flexible tap connector hose with 15mm compression ends at both sides. WRAS approved, stainless steel braided over EPDM, rated to 15 bar and 70°C. Suits most kitchen and bathroom taps where a bit of flex makes all the difference.
A good tap connector hose does one job quietly and without complaint. This 300mm flexible hose tap connector runs from 15mm to 15mm compression fittings, giving you a reliable, pressure-tested link between your tap tail and the isolation valve or supply pipe below. It is the kind of fitting that saves you half an hour of awkward pipework when the geometry under a sink is anything but straight.
The hose is built from EPDM rubber core with stainless steel braiding over the outside. The EPDM gives it flexibility and long-term resistance to both hot and cold water, while the stainless braid keeps the hose from ballooning under pressure. Working pressure is rated to 15 bar, which is well above anything a typical domestic or light commercial supply will throw at it. Maximum temperature is 70°C, making it suitable for both hot and cold supplies without needing separate hoses for each.
Both ends are 15mm compression fittings to BS EN 1254-2, so they work with standard 15mm copper or compatible plastic pipework. No special tools needed, no push-fit adapters, no drama. You tighten the compression nuts by hand first, then use a spanner to snug them up. The 300mm length gives enough slack to work with taps that sit a little off-centre or where the supply pipe enters from an awkward angle.
Where a Flexible Tap Connector Hose Earns Its Keep
Under-sink plumbing is rarely as tidy as the plans suggest. Supply pipes come up in slightly the wrong place, tap tails are a touch short, and rigid pipe just will not bend far enough without looking like it is fighting itself. A flexible hose tap connector solves all of that at once. Rather than cutting, bending, and re-soldering copper to hit the right angle, you connect the compression end to your supply, route the hose to the tap tail, and you are done.
This connector is particularly useful during tap replacements, where the existing supply pipe stub may not line up exactly with the new tap. It is also the sensible choice when fitting taps in tight vanity unit cabinets or under kitchen sinks with pull-out drawers that leave very little working space. Plumbers use them as standard on virtually every tap fit-out because rigid connections to tap tails are awkward, time-consuming, and offer no vibration tolerance at all.
Approval and Compliance
The connector carries WRAS approval, meaning it has been assessed and confirmed as suitable for use with potable water in the UK. This matters if you are working on a property where water fittings regulations apply, which in practice means most plumbing work in England and Wales. The compression ends conform to BS EN 1254-2, keeping the fitting within the standard expected by building control and most main contractors.
At under a pound, keeping a few of these in the van is a no-brainer. They weigh nothing, take up no space, and will save you a trip to the merchant mid-job more often than you might expect.
Pro Tip: When tightening the compression ends, do not overtighten. Nip up finger-tight first, then add no more than one and a quarter turns with a spanner. Overtightening compresses the olive too far and risks splitting the fitting body on cheaper pipework.
