Fit the 3 jaw chuck adaptor to your percussion drill, then attach the required core via the adaptor. Insert the pilot drill through the centre of the core before you start. Mark your hole position clearly, especially if you need the exit to be clean on the far face.
Begin drilling at a moderate speed with steady, consistent feed pressure. Keep percussion engaged throughout. There is no need to switch to rotary-only mid-hole, which is the whole point of this system. Let the diamond segments do the cutting. Forcing the feed will not speed things up and may shorten core life considerably.
Use the extension bar where wall thickness or access depth requires it. Once the hole is through, use the drift key to release the core slug from inside the tube. Keep the core dry throughout and store it in the provided metal case to protect the segments between uses.
