A 10 piece mixed jigsaw blade set covering wood, metal and plastic cutting. Includes HCS and HSS blades across 8 Bosch-equivalent types. Handy to have on the van when you’re never quite sure what the day’s going to throw at you.
This 10 piece mixed jigsaw blade set gives you genuine coverage across the most common cutting jobs you’ll face on site. Wood, metal, plastic — the set covers all three, with a spread of blade types that map directly to Bosch T-shank equivalents. If you’ve been running a single blade type and wondering why your cuts are rough or your blades are burning out early, this is where that problem starts getting fixed.
The set includes High Carbon Steel blades for wood cutting and HSS (High Speed Steel) blades for metal. HCS blades are more flexible and better suited to timber and sheet materials, while HSS blades hold their edge better under the heat generated when cutting through steel or aluminium. Running the wrong blade type on the wrong material is one of those habits that costs more in wasted blades than it ever saves in time.
What’s in the Mixed Jigsaw Blade Set
The 10 blades break down as follows: one T111C equivalent (100mm, clean wood cuts), one T144D equivalent (100mm, fast aggressive wood cutting), two T101B equivalents (100mm, clean cuts in wood and plastics), one T101D equivalent (100mm, wood and plastics with a finer finish), one T101BR equivalent (100mm, reverse-tooth blade for cleaner top-face cuts), one T119BO equivalent (76mm, bi-metal for thin metal sheet), two T118A equivalents (76mm, HSS for general metal), and one T118B equivalent (76mm, HSS for thicker metal sections).
All blades use the universal T-shank fitting, which is compatible with the vast majority of jigsaws on the market. Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, Hikoki, Milwaukee — if your machine takes T-shank blades, these will fit. The T-shank system has been the de facto standard for years and for good reason: the bayonet-style fit is quick to change and holds securely under load.
Practical Value for Tradespeople
At under a fiver for 10 blades across 8 different types, this set is a sensible thing to keep in the back of the van. You’re not going to replace a full set of dedicated blades for heavy production work, but for general site use, first fixes, and the odd job where you need the right blade quickly, this covers you well. The reverse-tooth T101BR is worth calling out specifically — that one blade alone saves a lot of grief when you’re cutting laminate or melamine-faced board and you care about the top surface.
Pro Tip: When cutting laminate or veneered board, fit the T101BR reverse-tooth blade and run your cut with the good face down — the reverse teeth pull upward and give you a clean finish on the side that matters.
This mixed jigsaw blade set is used across general building, joinery, shopfitting, plumbing, electrical first fix and light fabrication work. The wood-cutting blades handle softwood, hardwood, MDF, plywood and plastics. The HSS metal blades are suited to mild steel sheet, aluminium, copper pipe and steel conduit. Useful for anyone who needs to carry a compact blade selection without knowing exactly what materials the job will involve.

Not suitable for: Not intended for heavy production cutting or repetitive industrial use — for that, you'd want dedicated full packs of each blade type. Not suitable for ceramic, stone or abrasive materials.
Fit the correct blade for your material before you start. Wood and plastic cuts take an HCS blade; metal takes the HSS blades. Forcing the wrong blade slows the cut, overheats the blade and gives a poor finish. Swap blades when they start to drag or smoke rather than cut — a dull blade is harder on your machine than a fresh one.
For cleaner cuts in timber and sheet materials, let the jigsaw do the work at a moderate speed. On metal, a slower stroke speed with firm, consistent feed pressure gives better results than pushing hard and fast. The T-shank bayonet fitting clicks in and out quickly, so changing blade type mid-job takes seconds.
- Identify the material you're cutting and select the correct blade type — HCS for wood and plastic, HSS for metal
- Ensure the jigsaw is unplugged or the battery removed before changing blades
- Insert the T-shank blade into the blade clamp until it clicks securely into position
- Set the jigsaw stroke speed to suit the material — slower for metal, faster for timber
- Start the cut from the edge of the material where possible, or drill a pilot hole for internal cuts
- Feed the saw with steady, consistent pressure and let the blade cut without forcing it
- Replace the blade if it starts to drag, overheat or produce a rough cut
Will these blades fit my jigsaw?
All blades in this set use the universal T-shank fitting, which is compatible with the vast majority of jigsaws from major brands including Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, Hikoki and Milwaukee. If your jigsaw accepts T-shank blades — which most manufactured in the last 20 years do — these will fit without any adaptor.
What is the difference between HCS and HSS jigsaw blades?
HCS stands for High Carbon Steel — these blades are more flexible and ideal for cutting wood, MDF, plywood and plastics. HSS stands for High Speed Steel — a harder material that holds its edge better under the heat generated when cutting metal. Using an HCS blade on metal will blunt it almost immediately, so it's worth taking the extra few seconds to fit the right blade for the job.
The wood-cutting blades in this set are manufactured from High Carbon Steel, offering flexibility and clean cutting performance in timber and sheet materials. The metal-cutting blades are High Speed Steel, providing the hardness and heat resistance needed for cutting mild steel, aluminium and copper. All blades feature the universal T-shank profile for secure bayonet-style fitting across compatible jigsaws.
